Manchester City vs Arsenal preview

Arsenal’s woes seem to be at the forefront of every Premier League discussion. Their weekend opponents, Manchester City are unarguably the best team in the land and will be expected to win this with relative ease.

Manchester City have been extremely dominant in this fixture in recent times. The Premier League Champions have won 10 of their last 11 games against Arsenal. Arsenal have kept one clean sheet in their last 16 games versus Manchester City

Manchester City have scored 23 goals versus Arsenal since 2018 at an average of 2.3 goals per game. If Arsenal fail to get a point against Manchester City, it’ll be the first time in their history they’ve lost their opening three Premier League games of the season. Manchester City however, will be without their club record topscorer, Sergio Aguero, who has scored a whopping 11 goals against Arsenal.

Manchester City’s pursuit of Harry Kane ended yesterday as the player made the decision to remain at Tottenham. Arsenal on the other hand have been given a massive boost with the return of strikers, Lacazette, and Aubameyang. Both strikers had a hand in five of Arsenal’s six goals against West Brom on Wednesday night.
